The host was lovely, really friendly and welcoming! The bed was comfy enough, and they even had Cotton pads and soap if you forgot! Lovely tea tray with biscuits as well! The breakfast was great, cereal, fruit, and cooked meal! Location is fab, not even a 2 minute walk to the seafront! Lots of good amenities and restaurants nearby as well. Would love to go back!

The one issue for us was the sound proofing of the room as the door to the room would rattle a little in the frame and if the room above us flushed the loo, we heard it through the pipes. But 100% not enough to stop us going back and we still got a great night of sleep!

Lovely staff. Amazing building. Generous breakfast. Beautiful surroundings. Convenient location. Comfortable and spacious room. Bar/lounge areas are superbly evocative of the country house style.

It's an old building. Plumbing not great. Noise from other guests in corridor. Staff are lovely, but in some areas (catering) appear over-stretched by lack of numbers. Bar not particularly well-stocked.

First rate cuisine for dinner, delicious quail. Price below most other restaurants. Our room was warm, clean and with a new efficient shower room. Fresh milk provided for morning tea.

The air conditioning was very loud at night and we had to put it on as the room was very small and didn’t have a window.

Very old building that lacked maintenance. Panel below tub in first room was loose and exposed tub/plumbing. Floor and ceiling had dips. Floor was mushy when stepped ( squeaked loudly) on and sag in ceiling was worrisome. Door locks were cheap and offered little or no security. Inside door safety latch was defective. ( screws were falling out) Bird sounds coming from roof above.

The £25 insurance payment required before my booking was confirmed. This should be factored into the upfront costs. Very minor issues in the kitchen. Only 1 teatowel, no scissors, pot brush or cutlery drainer. Only 1 toilet roll, which 2 ladies of a certain age managed to make it last!

The bed was right against the wall so I had difficulty getting out Everything in the bathroom got wet when taking a shower - ok when single not so good in two Too reliant on mobile app - my battery was running low
