Pure heaven, so peaceful and relaxing, marvellous location with views across the valley towards Sheffield Park, we could hear the whistle from the Bluebell railway locomotives and wonderful birdsong. Our room was like a holiday apartment with very comfortable bed, cooked breakfast which we had outside on the terrace, our host was most welcoming and friendly, we most definitely will return. We were there only 1 night however our stress levels lifted considerably during our stay.

The access road is narrow with many potholes not for a car with low suspension.

The location is perfect, nestled away off the side of steep hill but still a 2minute walk to the cathedral. The security is also brilliant. The property was beautiful and quaint, so clean and cosy. The breakfast of croissants and yoghurt was nice and different for us but it was enough.

It was a bright light house with lots of sun (we were very lucky we got sunny days). The kitchen and facilities were excellent, especially the little touches of extra jam, tea and coffee, together with shower gels shampoo etc.

The bath was rather difficult to get into as it was a high sided bath. Perhaps a moveable step on the outside would be helpful.

The room was simple but clean and we couldn’t have expected much more for such a reasonable price. Would stay again if in the area.

Our fault completely, but also wasn’t made aware during booking - we stayed on a Sunday evening and their restaurant & bar closes at lunch time and doesn’t reopen again until Tuesday, which scuppered our dinner and breakfast plans. Be aware there are very limited options of dining on a Sunday or Monday.

The hotel is ideally located for Gatwick and a pleasure to visit. The rooms are comfortable and the staff very friendly. J

ust two quibbles, Air conditioning. You don't need it. The piaza was too cold unless you could escape the AC (far end of the bar area). I had a pizza in the Italian restaurant which was thin base and should have been crusty but was undercooked. Pity because in the past I've had only positive experiences.

Cosy apartment in great location. Few minutes walk to Paddington station. Waitrose is nearby. Well equipped kitchen.

The road noise is loud even with windows closed. The range hood is ductless and the greasy odors lingered all over place which is quite annoying. One of the toilets is believably small.

Staff not very knowledgeable on Gluten free cross contamination. I had put on booking that i was GF. Member of staff phoned on our way to hotel to see if we were eating that night. Explained that GF, she went and checked the menu, said smoked salmon & steak available that night. When arriving at the restaurant they didn't have steakk on that night!!! The poor waitress did go out of her way to accommodate me. The room was very small and needs updating, window frames filthy, and insect splattered on the wall.
