Our stay at the cottage in the wood was just for one night, but we are pleased we found it and will be visiting again. The location is great. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The chairs in our room were perfectly positioned to sit in and take in the gorgeous view, as were the seats on the terrace and in the restaurant. The food was amazing with just the right amount of choice on the menu. The staff were friendly, helpful and approachable and the birthday card was a very nice touch.

This is the second time now we have stayed here, love everything about it. How peaceful and relaxing it is, and this time the labs and sheep made it even better we loved watching them all weekend. Close enough to drive into Millisle or Donaghadee if want to do anything, hottub is a great bonus. Great hosts who are happy to help with anything you may need.

You can't fault the location, walk out of the door and you're on the main street in Chester. The room was individual (as you can see from the photos)

While you are provided with a fan. There is no way to open the window to let fresh air in, so it was rather stuffy on the hottest weekend of the year so far.

Clean and tidy. Ideal location for my visit to the area. Comfortable bed (mind your head!) Jo is a lovely host and we had excellent communication throughout.

The floor was quite creaky and I was mindful of the noise for guests on the floor below. The room I had was in the eaves and limited headroom around the bed.

We should have asked for assistance earlier in setting the thermostat as we found the room quite warm for the weather. We couldnt figure out how to work the a/c.

Sky Lounge stopped me giving perfect score ! They are now charging £35 for two halves and two cocktails ! I would mind do much but they are having a laugh putting to cocktails into a gin glass !! Not amused ! It’s not value and it puts a very bad taste into ur mouth , from now on just beers I sound have sent the cocktails back ! I can see why it’s not so popular! as it used to be .
