Location was perfect!! Stairs are a bit of a struggle but everything in the apartment was just what we needed All the small details and beautiful little touches were found all around the apartment which made it extra special

Grand hotel with spectacular seaside view . Old fashioned decor in the dining area made one feel as if you were there with Queen Victoria herself. Lovely bath with hot water made for a relaxing soak.

Lovely views over the lake. Food was nice....when it came. Staff were polite. Lots of parking, except on Saturday. Fridge in room.

Our room was in a pair with an outer door to them both, unfortunately it was continually slammed by the guests next door. Would be better with that door removed. We ordered a pizza in the bar, very quiet time, waited over an hour and 15 mins, only food that came out before ours was some nachos (1 minute beforehand). Assume chef was on his break but we were not told. Much smaller balcony that our first stay here, in general room wasn't as good as the one we had in main building.

We had the disabled room,after having heart surgery it seemed like a good idea instead of the stairs but unfortunately the smell in the room was unbearable.we asked the manager & there was no other available rooms.ruined the weekend

I did not like: - that the communication with the host was awful. I did not recieve any instructions on how to gain access to the property before arrival. No one met me there. When I tried to call, it rang out twice. I then finally got a text explaining how to enter after being stood outside in the rain for 15 mins. - the first room I was given was not actually the room I had booked and had clearly not been cleaned: The sheets smelled dirty and there were pubes in the bed. Bathroom and surfaces were also very dirty. - the 'correct' room I was given (after sending photos of pubes in the bed and poopy toilet to the host) was also very poorly cleaned, everything was dusty and grimy. The bathroom was filthy, there was faeces around the toilet and on the walls even. - the mattress quality was very old and poor. It was sunken and the springs were poking up. - I had to clean the surfaces, the toilet and the bathroom sink myself before I could feel comfortable using them. - the fact that the room had kitchen facilities but yet no utensils or cutlery. It was like a show kitchen. - the bed is facing opposite the washing machine. It felt like I was sleeping in a kitchen (which I basically was). - I slept very poorly because the noise from the fridge combined with the sunken pokey mattress kept me tossing and turning. - the fact that the host did nothing to try to reimburse me but kept blaming the cleaner. I only had a very little amount of toilet paper which I used up cleaning the toilet. I then had to rely on my pocket tissues. - the shower drained very poorly and had a foul smell coming from it - I did not get a refund. It was definitely not value for money and I think I should be reimbursed for giving the toilet the only cleaning it's had in a long while.
