The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were buffet-style and pretty good. There are no evening meals at the hotel, though most nights, there are free socials with wine and nibbles. The bed in our suite was large and comfortable. The mini kitchen was useful. A one-stop shop is nearby.

Location good in a lovely village with a great local pub. On street parking right outside. Made space for our bicycles so they were secure.

Very squeaky floor boards in the upstairs bedroom but you can't help that being a character property! A bigger mirror in the upstairs bathroom would have been useful (and not over the toilet).

Well the rooms are small, but we knew that, as we have stayed twice before - a bit expensive, THe bar could perhaps have better beer selection, although I understand it is mostly coctails.

It was very clean and tidy and the location was very convenient for our plans.

The mattress was very uncomfortable, the dining table moved a lot and it felt like it was gonna break at any moment. That only had one window, it felt claustrophobic, although it is in the pictures we didn't realise, perhaps it would help to write in the description and to have a bit of colour in the decoration.

The bedlinen is frayed, there was a stray dark hair in the middle of the bed under the cover and the sides of the bed had bleach stains from mopping the floor. The bathroom downstairs had a slow draining sink and was full of hair. It was also so small it was hard to wash your hands as it was all over your clothes.

Rooms old, dated .mattress on single bed in triple room was about 3 inch thick with springs coming through. The room looked nothing like the website. Very disappointed.
