    It starts with a booking

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The property felt like home from home, and was super clean & everything you needed. You got a warmly home feeling soon as your entered. The view was beautiful looking over the doc and seeing the boats. Gorgeous. Fully recommend million times over.

We have stayed here several times and it has never dissapointed. The hotel is very clean and the staff welcoming. It is in a very pretty area with lots of attractions nearby. They also have the best selection of alcohol free beers I have ever found.

The rooms were very small and basic, but this was expected for the price. The breakfast was excellent and staff didn't mind that we appeared at 9.30.

    • Negative section of review

The three rooms are located outside the pub and up some stairs, so wouldn't do for someone who is disabled. The heating went off quite early and only one room had a heater.

The room was reasonably well equipped BUT the equipment was not too clean.

    • Negative section of review

Cleanliness of equipment both in kitchen area and bathroom. Fan in bathroom did not work. Sash window in main room was very noisy - the wooden frame is rotten and the window rattles when it is windy. This had to be wedged with paper to stop the rattling. When reserving a table in the dining room for Sunday evening, we were told that it closed at 19.30. The information in the room states that it closes at 20.00. When in the restaurant, we ordered drinks. The waiter arrived with drinks in both hands and a third wedged between his body and his forearm. Warm white wine is not acceptable. After more than 24 hours in the Bell Inn our guests were told they were in the wrong room and asked to move. They did not move. We booked a room with Garden View and were in a room with a view of the village green. All in all, it was a bit like Faulty Towers.

The coffee shop/restaurant was closed so we had to go elsewhere for breakfast, which was very disappointing because that was one of the main reasons we booked CoffiCo Hotel.

      The receptionist was lovely

    • Negative section of review

DRIVE PAST AND KEEP GOING. No care or quality. The ONLY good thing about the Queens Head Inn was the receptionist. I purposely booked a hotel rather than air b n b to support local business how wrong I was! Place smelt of disinfectant, bleach and sick Nothing in the bedroom I could drink as it was all black tea and coffee. Food was so beyond bad I sent it back after the grumpy and inept restaurant manager’ gave me the meal. I’d ordered steak and a side order of salad with a glass of wine and some horseradish. (The Merlot was quite good!) Steak arrived with one mouthful that was edible as the rest was fat. It looked like it had been microwaved no colour at all. Chips over cooked. A sad looking mushroom and tired tomato. My ‘side salad’ a bit of wilted garnish. And tartar sauce not horseradish. When I asked for my salad and horseradish I had a grumpy passive aggressive response of ‘you’re not being charged for that’ …that actually wasn’t my question! When he returned with said horseradish and I asked about the steak which admittedly wasn’t as big as advertised I said I wasn’t happy with the quality…who wants one mouthful of meat when you pay £26? I was asked ‘well what do you want me to do about it?’ I asked for the menu and with his very aggressive attitude realised I’d been put off ordering anything at all. Left hungry unable to drive as I’d drunk for mentioned Merlot in a place that’s over priced I wouldn’t recommend at all …. Let’s go to breakfast. Sourdough and eggs was NOT sourdough but some ghastly white bread that they ‘just used to putting out’ when I asked for it to be changed I could hear the ‘cook’ and manager moaning about me. When it eventually did come it was particularly nice. Let’s just say this place only is busy because it’s the only place around and NOT because there is any quality or care. 1/10 and the one is for the receptionist and morning Breakfast waitress who was a delight!
