The location is second-to-none, next to priory. I had finished the St Cuthbert's Way, walking alone, and knew it was a small room and had a separate bathroom when I booked it. The view from the room was amazing - right across to the castle and out over the sea. The best thing of all was the bathroom - it had a bath! It was the first hotel I'd stayed in on the route that did and it was wonderful to soak after 71 miles hiking. I liked the restaurant & bar and the place was warm and quiet, and the staff really friendly. Breakfast was great.

The room was pretty small and cramped, but I knew that before booking and it wasn't a big deal for me. But the only real negative was that I couldn't air the bathroom - the windows don't open.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful, the location was great, close enough to the city to walk but also in a quiet area. Everything was very reasonably priced and the bar stays open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays which was great because we’d got back really late and fancied a drink. The room was comfortable and clean.

Mel the Host!!! What a lovely lady, her homemade bread was to die for, the Jam, eggs, butter milk was very thoughtful. She made us feel as though we had known her for years, so very friendly and kind ( thank you for my birthday present Mel xx)

Location was amazing, easy access from The airport, I was surprised when I checked in early and was nothing like the pictures I saw they were old it is so much better now , room was renovated it has enough amenities

Location is close to many good food options, convenience store, and a nice book store. Easy to get to Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile and Waverley station with a Taxi. Beautiful apartment.

It was on the 2nd floor and lighting of the stairs was not good for the spiral staircase, especially at night. Getting our luggage up for the entire family was a little tough but then we were set for the rest of the stay.

Unfortunately the room we were in (room 11) was situated at the back of the property and there was something, possibly an air vent from the kitchens? making a humming noise all night.
