Marshlands is a gem of a place to stay & Ginny & Henry, the warmest & most welcoming of hosts. The apartment is beautifully appointed & has all you need. It is a spacious & light property but also private & cosy & soon becomes a home from home. The bed & bedding are luxurious & the fridge full of local goodies, a delight to arrive to after a long journey. At 6’7”, it was a rare pleasure for my husband’s feet not to hang off the end of the bed! We highly recommend Marshlands & thank Ginny & Henry ensuring we had a fabulous stay.

Great location for Utilita Arena. A lovely 5 minute walk along the canal to restaurants and bars. Secure shuttered parking. Comfy bed, tv, kitchen, coffee machine, all you need for a weekend break. Staff were all polite, smiling, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A 5 minute drive from the M6 so an easy drive/ location. Would recommend and will definitely stay next time.

Could promote the Stay cafe more. No menu, no info, not sure what breakfast was? Just a set price for …. No idea what. When I asked I was told pancakes. We went somewhere else.

The staff. I arrived about 7pm, the lads on check-in and the bar were great. Very helpful and great to talk to. If everything else matched these lads quality it would be a winning combination. Breakfast ok. Bar menu minimal. Facilities basic. Staff very good.

The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The outdoor seating and patio is great for socialising on a warm summer evening.

A bit difficult to park a large SUV on the driveway. Safely parked on the road instead.

Fantastic location, blissfully peaceful. Hotel building was stunning. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful, varied and served promptly.

Unfortunately dinner in the restaurant was underwhelming with raw pizza dough, very long waits for service although the staff were very friendly. Whilst the hotel is obviously striving to be high end they need to refresh room decor (peeling wallpaper, stained walls and furniture and tired carpet. Whilst the toiletries and linens supplied were lovely it would have been nice to have a shower cap and flannels.

Very expensive for the facilities on hand. No lift available. Room servicing was below par. A service charge, of 10%, was added to drinks from the bar. Where no service had been provided.
