Perfect for our stopover; couple of miles away from the motorway. Great accommodation, lovely gardens and setting; bar and restaurant were excellent as was the room. All area's were clean and tidy

Leisure center and facilities for kids were first class. All the staff were excellent.

The restaurant on the first floor seemed understaffed. The poor chap stocking the breakfast buffet could not cope. The buffet ran out temporarily of fried and scrambled eggs and mushrooms. Our rooms were not ready on arrival. Our party of 9 were offered a free drink as compensation. But due a misunderstanding, one of us ended up paying £30. We were told that sum would be refunded in due course. Despite a few phone calls to Macdonalds and promises of call backs, the money has not been refunded. The big problem is that none of the lifts were working on any of the days!!! We had informed the hotel in advance that my daughter was in a wheel chair. Our rooms were on the ground floor, but all eating facilities were on the first floor. We carried a breakfast to her room every day. Worse, we could not dine in the restaurant and had to seek alternatives off-site with wheel chair access. How can there be no disabled access for three days? We would not have booked had we known ALL lifts were not functioning.

We were quite cold after a days walking as it was wet and windy, but the heating was turned off, so our clothes did not dry. Very small room and bathroom.

Liked the location. Bed linen was good quality. Studio was clean.

Window blinds need attention. Timber surfaces in kitchen area also need attention or replacement. The placement of the tv is not very user friendly. Tea, coffee and milk portions should be left in view, as I did not see them until later and would have loved a cupa when I arrived.

Everything, my room was on the top floor, there was no lift, and the stairs were narrow and steep .Difficult to walk . The TV did not work

The check in process. My request for an early book in was greeted with a very rude response of ‘no’ you can leave your suitcase until 3pm. I would have quite happily paid an additional fee.
