Friendly check in. Comfortable bed, good sized room, adequate bathroom but no glasses for toothbrushes. Beautiful restaurant with well presented food. Very tasty panna cotta tart for starters. Efficient bar service and evening restaurant service. Nice garden out back for residents and buzzy seating area out front for all. Pretty crockery for breakfast service with good quality well presented ingredients.

Bad communication re time of last orders to kitchen. Were told 8:30 when we were only seated at 8p.m. and felt rushed to order and eat and get out of there. Pricey food at £26 for bland vegetarian pasta, even if it's home made pasta that's still too much. Not offered parmesan with it which would have enhanced the flavour considerably. Bar staff using their fingers and not using spoons or tongs to put fruit or garnishes in drinks!! Very slow breakfast service in an almost empty room.

Apartment was in a good location and had small supermarket nearby. Easy to get into centre of city. Apartment had secure private parking. Facilities in the apartment were excellent.

Host did not know how the appliances worked. Insinuated that I was stupid. Written instructions for the equipment were wrong. Bed was too small (UK standard double bed).

Lovely guest house. Really clean, towels changed daily. Owner was friendly and helpful. Guest house in ideal location to all the attractions. Would go again without a doubt.

There was one full length mirror in the bedroom, tucked in a dinghy corner outside the bathroom door and no socket near by. Consequently no mirror for doing makeup or drying hair. Absolutely ridiculous hotels can’t get this right! Could have easily put a mirror on the wall above the dressing table where there were sockets. Shower was over the bath and didn’t fit in holder so sprayed everywhere. I expect the basics to be right when paying £158 per night!

The hotel foyer and corridors were dirty. The room was not as clean as i expected. Cobwebs in every corner, dust on shelves and window ledge, broken coathangers, litter from previous occupants in the bathroom. One of the twin beds had a duvet cover instead of a sheet and the duvet was cover (on the duvet) was inside out. It felt neglected!

Upon booking, they failed to show or mention the £250 extra deposit ‘they required’ before arrival and due to that fact we did not stay and they have yet to give myself a full refund.
