The apartment is excellent. Not very big, but with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a comfortable tiny living room. Very clean, it has all you need, from a coffee machine with capsules (they offer you a few, plus tea bags and sugar, milk) to a toaster, microwave oven, dish washer, paper roll etc. We highly appreciated the exquisite quality of the liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo and condionner in the bathrooms (Noble Isle). The view is lovely and it's very quiet inside in spite of the fact that you are in the middle of the hustle. The apartment is near the train station and has plenty of pubs around. You get in with a code that is activated at your arrival and deactivated at your leaving. Clear and simple! Excellent!

We liked everything. Thank you. Maybe it would be nice to be able to get Netflix without having your own code from home, which we didn't have. (The TV has Netflix but we couldn't turn it on, because of the personal code that we didn't have).

Stunning location overlooking Loch Long, within walking distance of a minute or two to several places to eat and also a very good local shop. Most importantly, 2 minutes walk to the trailheads for a number of great hikes, or to drive for day trips. Excellent fit out throughout property: great shower; everything you need from coffee machine with pods to excellent wifi (I had a bit of work to do so was thankful For this) . Spacious bedrooms and very Comfortable beds but the view over the loch from every room and the direct views from decks outside were the highlight.

As with any place around the lochs the house has the road behind it, so on a weekday the traffic noise does start early, but it didn’t really affect us.

This hotel has been designed so well with great attention to detail. The character of the building has been retained but with a very sensitive and clever modern twist which makes the most of the building's unique heritage. The room was very spacious and comfortable as was the lovely bathroom. The food and service in the Chapel Restaurant was excellent and the Jail Museum experience was very interesting. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would definitely come back.

It's hard to fault this hotel. The only disappointment was that the Champagne Bar was temporarily closed!

Rooms are big, wide and clean. Hosts are very kind and friendly. The position is great, very close to the main attractions of Skye.. breakfast was really good and delicious. WiFi ok. There is a shop and a cafe very close to it since portree is not so close.

Elgin Guest House is located in a good location for exploring the town on foot. It is also close to supermarkets, the monument and Biblical Gardens. The host was friendly and helpful The property was very clean.

One of two lifts was broken down. The toilet roll kept falling down. Internet was down several times. I would have liked a proper desk table and chair in the room.
