A fabulous property run by Terence and Piper who after meeting treat you as friends, providing so many extras a gym, a sauna, cinema,bar, hot tub. They give advice on attractions, and things ilfracombe have to offer. The breakfast was fabulous, so many choices, having been lucky enough to stay in alot of 5 star hotels, the breakfast at the Devonian is alot better. The rooms are luxurious having thought and provided all the extras needed and so tastefully done in keeping with their old house character. We really enjoyed our two night stay and were so lucky to have nice weather, that made it even better. The Devonian is quiet, near to the harbour about 10 min walk and all the amenities, we feel so lucky to have chosen this bed and breakfast accomodation.

Jill is a genuinely hospitable and friendly host. Gives you the freedom to enjoy your stay and makes a continental breakfast if you want. Located within easy reach of Richmond and the Dales of the Yorkshire countryside. Quiet and comfortable

Very good location next to good restaurants, shops and bars. Obviously you have much more room than a hotel and that helps you relax more. Fully equipped kitchen , nice lounge and a comfortable bed.

Unfortunately, the excellent Sanders Yard cafe wasn't open for breakfast until 9:45, a bit late for us. However, there are plenty of other choices in easy walking distance.

Safety and not as advertised. I arrived at the property after a 3hr journey and could not get in the front door. I called the owners, messaged them via booking.com and messaged them directly but no one got back to me. Another person luckily let me into the property so I could at least sit inside and after 3hrs of waiting for a response I searched for a room with a key in it and let myself in. I presumed this was the room made up for me however it was not a double bed or a private bathroom like advertised. The sink was also very dirty. It's now 3 days later and I still have not had a reply. I was a female on my own, in a place that I was not familiar with, and could have been stranded 3hrs away from home if I wasn't lucky enough for someone to have let me in.
