The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The breakfast was totally excellent; the best I've had at an English B&B for a while. The situation, which is why I chose to stay there, is absolutely stunning, with an unbeatable view of Salisbury Cathedral when you open the front door.

The Bridge Hotel is in a great location, five minutes walk to the underground and thirty minutes to central London. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was comfy. The man on reception when we checked in was lovely and very helpful.

Firstly the man on reception when we arrived was lovely and cheerful. The rest of the staff we encountered (breakfast the following morning and the man on reception when we checked out) were so utterly miserable. We weren't asked if we had enjoyed our stay, he just took the key card from us. The sink was blocked when we went in so the first time we used it we had a sink full of water. No problem we reported it to the (friendly) reception man and it was sorted by the time we got back however a faint sewer smell was still there. The rooms were really hot. It wasn't even a warm day so I hate to think what they are like in the summer. The last problem was the noise. This is without a doubt the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in. We worried the A40 would keep us awake but we couldn't actually hear the road of the loud music, loud voices and banging of doors that went on until past 2:30am then started again at 5am.

The staff were good. Food good. Bar area clean dining area good.

The bedroom was sub standard, it needs updating. Bathroom was clean, but rotten damp wood around bath area. Carpet dirty. It would have been better if there were some toiletries available just in case guests forget to bring. Because of the age of building the staircase was steep and narrow. Difficult for my husband as he has Parkinson's, climbing staircase with substandard handrail. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. But needs attention.
