Positive section of review
The self booking-in system worked really well and was well explained. The room and the common areas were clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. .Parking was easy and accessible. Communication with the property was easy and very useful. WOULD DEFINITELY STAY WITH AFL AGAIN!

There weren't any towels in the bedroom (but we were swapped rooms and location at very short notice which we were very grateful for). Milk and items left in the fridge for specific rooms could be labelled with room number (a marker pen would do). The common lounge area is closed at certain times and this should be communicated in advance. The shower was stuck on very hot (I couldn't turn on the cold). There was no TV in the room that we were transferred into. We could have been told this in advance. For disabled guest (as we were) it would be useful to have access to a non slip mat for the bath/shower.

Great place in a great location. The owners communicated well and kept us up to date. The place was well fitted out right through. Totally recommend.

The parking in the town is a bit difficult. This isn't the fault of the owners but just something to be aware of. The WiFi was fast enough but didn't have reach to outside - could do with a mesh / repeater. Not a major criticism though and we used the Internet fine.

Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Hotel is in an excellent position for the town and the Cathedral.

A coach party staying at the hotel, had caused some significant delays concerning meal preparation. We found we could not have breakfast until 0915 am due to seating and serving constraints. The same was for the evening meal where we also had to wait some 30 mins after ordering. I must point out that the staff were very apologetic and gave us free drinks and thanked us for waiting.

There was a security guard at night who seemed to get annoyed that we ordered food and didnt let him know. Ive never let any hotel receptionist, security guard, or similar know, whilst staying at a hotel, that ive ordered takeaway.
