The location of the hotel is perfect. It's right in front of the beach, a couple houndred of meters from the very center, and just in front of the i360. Upon arrival we got offered a room with a large window (instead of the basement room we had booked), and that was a lovely gesture. Much appreciated. We arrived early, 4 hours before check-in, but the staff agreed to look after our luggage while we explored the city. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant area was up to standard and even our attempt to bother the night guard at 5AM (because we wished to go swimming) with a request to open the front door was accepted with kindness and understanding.

Since the building is old, it's easy to hear the upper guests shuffle around in the room; also, the street noises on the ground floor are more noticable, but that's nothing a pair of earplugs can't fix. The bathroom had a tub in it and a glass "wall" to use as a courtain when taking a shower which didn't fully work. The watter spilled over the top and flooded the bathroom each time someone took a shower.

Hosts were lovely and very accommodating was able to provide any help or advice with a fast response. Stayed at this apartment for a long duration and even returned to the apartment when it next became available. The bed is extremely comfortable.

I had originally only booked the apartment for a month, I was able to extend my stay for a couple of weeks. However, the apartment was fully booked after this. Therefore, my only negative was not been able to extend my stay (understandable at such short notice). The hosts went above and beyond in helping arrange and book the next available dates.

My wife's onion bajayes were burn and replaced within 1 minute so could not have been cooked fresh. Iwas later told by reception I would not be chrged for them but next day they were on the bill. after discussion there cost was removed. The restaurant was very short staffed at dinner = one guest wited 1 hour for his fish and chips !!
