Attractive pub in an attractive village with above-average comfort rooms. Easy parking at front. Wifi and hot water fine. Very pleasant staff and breakfast. Outside seating for drinks on the village green plus the patio behind. Good value meal. Would stay again.

Staff were very friendly and pleasant. It was very clean. The room was very quiet, no disturbance from the airport. The wifi was ok, but we could not cast to the tv, as it said we should be able to.

The pool changing rooms were inadequate, swimming in water with dirty floors. There was only one changing room. The open changing area was just too small. I was pleased when the receptionist said we wouldn't need change to use the lockers. I wish she had also added that all the lockers were broken so we would have to leave our stuff insecure. There was a missing ceiling panel and it really looked like they need new, larger changing facilities. The container with bags to put our wet swimming stuff was empty. The car park - charge was £6. When we popped out briefly, there was no parking available on our return, cars were abandoned all over the place. The room: the bathroom had windows overlooking the bedroom area. I suspect you were supposed to be able to darken the windows but if so, the switch did not work. I love my husband but I really didn't want to watch him drying off and cleaning his teeth. Unfortunately, it was the same light switch for the bathroom and toilet area, so one could not use the toilet in the night without flooding the bedroon with light, to the detriment of anyone asleep! The fridge was very welcome, but the temperature control was broken, so nothing was cold in there. The reading lights were inadequate, shone over the entire bed. The bed was extremely firm, it was like sleeping on a rock. I would have asked to change rooms but we were only staying one night and reception area was busy when we arrived. All in all, I was very disappointed. I have stayed at this hotel before, which is why we returned, but I would not use it in future. It did not live up to expectation.

Staff excellent , friendly and helpful . Room a little tight for 2 people and very steep stairs to navigate with a suitcase as no lift. Pool super and a real bonus , location makes this place !

Easy instruction for the keys. Good price. Good location. Free car parking. Fine for one night stay if you’re out for evening.

The car park zapper works to close and open the gate. There isn’t a sensor on the inside of the gate which would have been useful to know as we had left it in the flat and put the keys in the lockbox to leave. We paid a very large deposit which was more than we paid to stay for one night. The corridors smelt. Could do with abit of TLC.

The food at breakfast was extremely poor! The sausages were virtually inedible, bacon much the same & the scrambled egg- I don’t even think that could be called eggs of any description. It was either dry & powdery or firm & rubbery
