The house was stunning with amazing gardens, it was such a relaxing weekend away with all the amenities we could have wanted/needed. The hot tub was a lovely luxury and the bar area was fantastic. Loved every minute of the stay and we 100% be back. We met Tony and he was just lovely, also Laura who showed us around when we arrived was a lovely lady and so friendly, she was always on hand via text if we needed any assistance at all. Tony allowed the children to feed the alpacas, sheep and highland cows one morning which they absolutely loved as well, great little addition to the weekend. There is a fully functional bbq which we used one evening and books and games are supplied in the livingroom. The cinema room was also fab for the kids to chill in.

The only thing is our dogs were not allowed upstairs. Whilst I completely understand the rule for them not being allowed on furniture. Not allowing them upstairs made things a little tricky. Dogs do not like unknown environments and leaving them alone downstairs on a night can really stress them out. This is not quite what I would call dog friendly that’s all.

Great location, very modern and super clean. Rooms were big and not claustrophobic and free toiletries. Had a safe which was great. Housekeeping were spot on and room was immaculate. Reception staff were happy, polite and accommodating especially on checkin 17/05 evening. Health club staff were both polite and accommodating and area was immaculate and super clean - hotel has just renovated the pool area. Lots of parking especially in overflow car pack literally just opposite hotel where we parked all weekend. Hotel is spacious, modern and welcoming.

Arrived late on 17/05 and decided to go to hotel for a drink to relax before bed - big mistake. Atrium area are was a mess, tables full of empty glasses and no where clean to sit. I had to clear 12 glasses onto another table so we could sit down. We counted well over 100 glasses left on vacated tables. Bar was quite busy and this reflected the bar staff moods. Small bald bar man was spectacles was extremely rude, obnoxious and pretended to ignore my requests. Asked about gin and was given a blunt answer ‘ we don’t serve that’ no other gins offered. Brought drinks and was charged £13 for a brandy and coke plus £7.50 small bottle of cider. Looked for bar prices none at the bar area, asked the same bar man again and he snorted there were menus on the tables with prices. It is a bar not a restaurant so bar prices should be visible at the bar area. Ordered house brandy after ‘borrowing’ a menu from a table next to us, it seems the very miserable and obnoxious bar man charged me the most expensive price despite asking for the house as I was mixing it with cola. Atrium bar was a complete mess never seen a bar like this in 55 years and both staff were sulky and moody, probably overwhelmed by lack of staff as clearly indicate by the complete mess the area was. We sat there for 25 mins and none of the bar staff attempted to clear or clean the tables. Due to the negative energy, complete mess and foul moods of the bar staff in particulate the small bald man we choose to drink in a local pub instead nearby over the following nights where the staff were indeed polite and happy and the bar had clean tables and clear of empty glasses as it should be. More staff are obviously needed at the Atrium bar on a weekend and a refresher course on customer training would not go amiss. For this reason unlikely to rebook again next month when we travel back to the area.

Extra bedding could have been provided. We were 4 people and the covering blanket was given for only 3.
