Millers cottage was located just a 20 min drive from Bamburgh. Close to all the beautiful beaches, local villages and things to do. The size of the cottage was perfect for us as a couple with a toddler. My daughter loved her girly room which is nicely located at the bottom of the cottage which means we could Hang out on a night without disturbing her. It was a night tough that towels, games and guest tv log ins were provided.

The service was excellent through out our stay. Staff were very friendly and approachable. They answered any questions we had. On the last day of my visit, I missed placed my passport. I missed my flight and had to rebook the next day. I showed up at the hotel on announced and told them my story. They quickly found me a suite at no extra charge. It was a long day and the front desk could not have been more helpful.

I arrived very late, despite this Robert was still very accommodating to me. The room was bigger than expected with a very big and comfortable bed. My flight got delayed the next day, and Robert was super chill about letting me drop the bags until I had to go.

I would have appreciated a bedroom lamp since I like to stay up reading. I got a bit confused with the check-out message since I received the same day as check-in but Rob clarified it to me quite fast.

We were out in a shed out the back of the property which was romantically described as The Cottage. Sadly it was nothing more than a shed with very little natural light. None at all in the bedroom!

The lack of air and natural light. The property was not particularly well maintained, especially in the bathroom. And you could see daylight through one of the panels in the front door where it was falling apart. I can think of nothing positive to say.

Simple, clean room, good location for a night stay if you want a quick stop close to the M1. We travelled from London in the evening to get to Bolsover Castle early the next day.

Breakfast was a joke. I'm not up for a lunch time roll and sallad. I want bacon, sausages ext. This is why after paying £8.50 extra I will not be going back.
