Location is excellent, just a few minutes from Glasgow Central station. Facilities are fair, although the provision of a washing machine without a dryer was puzzling. TVs in both living room and bedroom (one in living room is huge). Bed was comfortable and blackout curtains excellent. For a few days' stay, reasonable value for money, particularly factoring in the location, but needs more attention to upkeep.

Advertised as the whole property being wheelchair accessible, but access to the apartment building is via a heavy metal gate (via a keycode} which solo wheelchair users would find difficult to open. Access to the apartment building itself is via a long wooden decking style ramp, which is in serious need of maintenance, with several slats visibly damaged and/or loose which, given the height of the ramp, made my disabled wife very anxious (for those without mobility issues, access via steps is quicker). There is then a different access code to enter the building and then, after travelling in a rather small lift, a swipe card to enter the apartment itself, which seems overcomplicated, when a suitably programmed card system could be used to manage all three access points. Person on reception did not show us to the room, only to the forecourt. Immediately spotted damage to items of furniture, took photos and brought them straight back to reception, by which time (only a few minutes after our arrival) it was unmanned and locked. Another family then arrived to check in and they had to phone him to get him to return. This was the pattern throughout our stay. Reception was unstaffed most of the time, although contactable by phone. There is no phone in the apartment. No bathmat was provided and so entering and exiting the combined bath/shower can be very slippery.

This is an excellent accommodation if you want a trouble free stay in Newquay. Right from the check in, to cleanliness, to helpfull staff, to its ideal central location, to check out went smoothly. The location is probably the best part of it with all the local amenities nearby. I would highly recommend Blue Reef Lodge.

Very nice decor, helpful & friendly staff, good location close to lots of restaurants & old street station. Room was comfortable & very clean. Great water pressure in the shower but couldn't use the ceiling / rainfall shower option as the water sprayed out in every direction!

When I checked in I was given a room before ground level with no window - this was not flagged in the booking process & I wouldn't have booked this had I known. Thankfully the staff moved me to another floor where the room had a window but it was more a frosted pain of glass so you couldn't see anything outside. New room was also beside the lift so was quite noisy & a lot of light came in around the door. My phone signal was also terrible but thankfully there was free WIFI.

valet car parking £25 doesnt detail this on website Charged for use of Wifi -shocking don't get charged for this in budget hotels Rooms not cleaned properly found someone elses shorts in my bed!!! Dinner buffet was very limited and luke warm run out of two types of lager. Staff on reception poor in terms of communication and welcome. decor of rooms old in need of repair

paying for breakfast wasnt the best because i usualy enjoy free one from other facilities. i didnt like the weekend noise, lastly, throughout the period that i stayed i had no one coming to clean or change my bed spread which i felt uncomfortable

If there could have been a site map or directions when we got into the site as to where the Dizzaed area was that would have been great. We arrived very late so difficult to see in the dark.
