Location was good, the room had nice facilities such as a large fridge, a cooker, microwave, and a kettle. It was also nice to have a selection of either tea / coffee and some biscuits to eat too. Sofa was comfortable, and their was a reasonable sized TV to catch up on any programmes.

Trying to decipher how to collect the key wasn't easy. I had to call the number but no one called me back! In the end I was able to figure it out. Disappointed no one call me back. The hot water in the shower didn't work, and the bathroom had an odd smell. After calling this through I was informed the maintenance person would ring me to arrange coming over to check it out. They never did. Finally the main corridor to the room had a funky smell. Not the rooms fault, just not nice to walk through.

The cabin was clean and extremely comfortable. We were out doing the tourist things during the day, but to come back to a fantastic view sitting on the porch with a quiet drink made the whole holiday, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for a short or long stay.

The interior, staff, food at breakfast was all good. Great location in the centre of Tobermory and easy access to all the great bars and restaurants in town. The Tobermory Hotel bar is very good also with locals visiting to listen to live music when we visited.

The walls of the rooms are paper thin. I heard everything at 01:30am when the couple next door returned from a night out - every word, movement. Then, at 05:30am I heard the couple upstairs get up and once again, creaky floorboards, every word of their conversation and was unable to get back to sleep. Wasn't the best nights sleep which is such ashame as the hotel is great. The rooms need investment in insulation, otherwise this feedback from guests will continue. Might make the rooms slightly smaller but so worth it to get a good nights sleep. The next morning in the restaurant there was only one member of staff working in the restaurant. It was unreasonable to expect her to handle the number of people having breakfast and a minimum should be 2 members of staff.
