A big shoutout to Edi who works there for always taking extra special care of us and cooking us an amazing and tasty breakfast. We didn't meet João in person, but communication via Booking went very smoothly. Also the self check-in is very easy. As for parking: there are a few places in the driveway, but there also is a convenient public parking space nearby where we parked our car every night. The apartment is located in a quiet street, but is still pretty close to the city center (1.5km - 2km) where you can find all necessary supermarkets, restaurants, ... And it's also located quite central on São Miguel which makes it the ideal base to explore the entire island.”

  Jo & Emi, we’re fantastic hosts who communicated well prior to and throughout our stay. The apartment was immaculate, had all the amenities you could need on a trip, spacious and chilled environment in the living area. Fully complete kitchen. The bedrooms were lovely, with comfortable beds and good storage space. The whole apartment was very nicely decorated. Having visited Blackpool many times over the years, We can honestly say this is the most pleasant stay we have had. We look forward to staying again soon.

  Ideal location, just minutes from the theatre and town centre. Very quiet street. Car parking space would be useful for car owners. The kitchen is very well equipped with a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Plus the standard kettle, toaster and microwave oven. Useful range of cutlery and utensils. Living room is quite basic but stylish. Selection of paperbacks and up-to-date entertainment magazines. Bathroom, like the other rooms, was clean, well-designed and adequately equipped.

  I had a slight problem with the scent in the bedroom. It smelled like incense sticks (which I detest!) but as there were no sticks present, I assumed that the bed linen was the culprit - either the washing powder or the fabric conditioner. The front door key was fiddly to use in the lock, and because there was no latch or handle, you have to re-lock the door once inside. The 2 of Spades ♠ was missing from the pack of cards. (Sorry, I'm a bit OCD!) Although there was a towel radiator in the bathroom, it wasn't on, so my towel didn't really dry properly.

  Was easy to get to Edinburgh centre and the event we were going to. Service was good, staff were friendly :) Breakfast was nice too :)

  Hotel room wasn’t clean, drip marks down the sides of cupboards and wrappers in draws, nothing to stir out cups of coffee so had to use my sunglasses lol. mattresses really hard and pillows really uncomfy :( no bar or anything to have a drink and we were told on arrival there was no food available for the rest of the day (we arrived at 2pm) , just a pop vending machine at the bottom of the lifts. Cleaning staff knocked them walked into the room not giving me a chance to open the door an hour before we checked out… Check out was also at 10am :(((( I think for the price we paid for the one night (£289!!!!!!) it could have been much better. Also it looks nothing like the pictures… they’re very deceiving making the hotel look a lot cleaner.
