I booked a room overlooking the loch and the view from the room was superb. The staff at the hotel are incredibly attentive and helpful. The dining room offers great views over the loch; it was busy and there was a nice ambience during dinner. The chicken curry that I ordered was delicious and plentiful! Breakfast was served in a room that also offered great views of the loch and the choice was excellent. It was well laid out with a good choice of hot dishes as well as yoghurts, cereals and fruit.

The prices of bar drinks, dinner starters and desserts were unnecessarily high and detracted from the overall visit. A pint of lager was £7, which is more expensive than you would normally pay at similar establishments. For dessert, I ordered 3 scoops of Mackies ice cream and it cost £9! You cannot justify that charge when one litre of Mackies ice cream costs £3.30 at supermarkets in Scotland!

The house was lovely, clean and quiet. I couldn’t work out the oven, but the host soon came over and sorted it for me. Good quality toiletries and no issues with parking either.

Only downside was they need blackout blinds as was staying with an 18 month old who couldn’t sleep during the day, as the windows are high up would recommend maybe remote full blackout blinds…. This was the only negative

Blood stain on bedsheets Poor flow from shower Freezing cold room. Heating didn’t work. Lady on front desk was very unhelpful told us that we would get a ticket for £15 off at NCP car park when we left. Ticket didn’t work so went back to hotel to let them know only to be told we should have parked in Nelson Street NCP rather than Rupert Street NCP. Nobody had told us this when we checked in otherwise we would have moved the car so ended up paying £26.50 for parking rather than £11.50! Lady on front desk wasn’t bothered at all and was very rude and unhelpful which was disappointing.Shame because we were trying it out before we booked a graduation package for 10 different people but will now try somewhere else.
