We stayed here to attend a family funeral for 2 night. In room 5. Clean and spacious with all we needed. (Kettle, coffee, tee etc) loved having a bath. Bed very comfortable and slept great.Didn't eat at the property, only breakfast (meals looked good though) as we were meeting up with family. Continental breakfast was great 👍 with lots of extras, which we were surprised about as normally its a cooked breakfast when we stay somewhere, but Continental was fab.

No fault of this hotel but getting a taxi in this area was horrendous, tried 6 taxi numbers with no joy. Staff at hotel finally got one booked for us to arrive at 2pm, 2.40pm and no taxi appeared. We were going to a funeral and panicked as we would have been late. Thankfully a lovely young man from the funeral came for us. Thank the lord 🙏 Be aware of this when you stay and be organised before you go. As I said, no reflection on the hotel .

Room was nice and clean, breakfast was lovely and we had an evening meal in the hotel that was so nice we couldn't eat a pudding we was that full. The location was great everything so near not far to walk in to town. It was great this hotel had a car park once you paid you just leave your car there for the duration of your holiday no need to use it like I said everything is so near for you.

Amazing view from my room, great breakfast, friendly owner, clean and spacious room. About 25 minutes walk from valley of the rocks and 20 minutes walk from Lynmouth which is the starting point of a walking route to watersmeet along the river.

The water pressure was a bit low in the shower, but understandable as the house is situated on top of the hill.

Nice location and easy to find. The host is really nice to talk with. Suggest to have a walk along the coast to Helen bay in good weather. Will love it.
