The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was great. I especially liked the spa facilities of which I took advantage of. The gym is fully equipped with the latest treadmills, step machines and bike. Everything was also very clean in the room.

The fact that I only had a 2 day stay booked.

Brilliant location for an evening at Scarborough Spa and to explore the seafront. You can choose to take the meandering pathways down the cliff or use the cliff tram if you have mobility issues. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

Found it rather strange the we would have to prebook our evening meal choice during the day if we chose to use the restaurant. We decided to eat out

The bed is comfortable and cosy. Clean rooms. The staff friendly, very helpful and welcoming. The music is so loud in the lobby, it isn't very relaxing. Not ideal for doing work or taking a phone call.

I missed breakfast and I asked if they had anything I could have. As I needed to take a tablet. I bought a pastry for £3. A bit pricey.

There was nothing to like only the chap who showed us in, and that was because he was friendly. He was chatty and answered questions.

Where to start ? the building is run down, decayed, mouldy, broken window panes, cracked glass, Inner door missing a big pane of glass, floors dirty and sticky, woodwork rotten and damaged. in our room the painted walls had patches picked off, greasy hand prints, Rubbish on the balcony, looked like a building site. Wee on the carpet, filthy mattresses with fluid stains, dirty pillows, non laundered linen, dirty used towels, some of the bedknobs missing from bed frames, rusty towel rail, mould in shower cubicle, hairs in beds, stains on duvets, all the duvets and pillows were so well worn and used, needed replacing, heaven knows who used them or when they were last washed ! . curtain tie backs stapled badly to the wall, lamps were rusty, shades had stains, Kettle furred up with limescale, TV had smears and so much scratching across the screen, remote had no backing, The Bar was dirty, floor dirty, home made desk jutting out covered in paperwork, we were then told that there was a loud DJ set till gone 1AM ! was not mentioned in the booking. Next door was a squat with people gathering outside, mattresses at the windows. A girl hanging out the window yelling at her friend asking for booze and drugs. Outside the building the paint was peeling off all over, the signage was so filthy you could just about see the name of the SKUBA bar, It looked so run down and nothing at all like the pictures on the website. The whole area including this hotel looked like a drug den, a homeless persons squat. Run down and partially derelict. We were told to use going through the Bar to come in but that proved no security as anyone could walk in. Do not waste a penny going here. We left without unpacking, we could not sleep ON the beds let alone in them, The place is bad, no way up to a decent standard. A youth hostel is cheaper and definitely cleaner than this place, we left after finding a place to eat in Folkestone. Have asked for a refund but have not been given a reply.

Beer garden, restaurant, food all excellent. Staff helpful and friendly.

The floors in the room were shocking. I've never felt compelled to be critical of a floor, but the step outside the shower tray was down right dangerous, never level and disorientating if not prepared. Some decor needs refresh and still quite expensive.

The hotel was close to the wedding venue that we had to get to.

I expected the property to be as good as the Innskeeper collection that I had previously stayed in (Beckford Inn) but it was not up to the same standard. The family room was not big as I expected it to be. Breakfast options were limited. The bed was not comfortable either. Overall, did not feel like staying in an Innskeeper collection hotel.
