A lovely seaside apartment within a few feet of the harbour. This is what seaside holidays are made of. Takes a little while to get used to the town clock and seagulls noise in the morning but otherwise no complaints. A glorious location.

The accommodation was extremely special for many reasons. The location was sensational, and It was so spacious and comfortable. We could not fault it in any way. The view waking up each day was the icing on the cake.

It is a beautiful and historic building with extremely comfortable rooms and a good bar and dining area. The hotel is perfectly located in the town centre for nearby restaurants and shops.

My only comment would be concerning the breakfast. We have had it on previous visits and it has been an excellent full English however this time we were going somewhere for lunch and that is too filling. We wish there was a choice with some lighter options.

Location is brilliant, very stylish and clean room. Coffee station downstairs a lovely touch. Bed was comfortable, tv and table to do makeup was great.

As with all hotels the bathrooms aren’t large which wasn’t a problem and was to be expected but the toilet itself was quite low to the ground, my partner who is 6”4 struggled to sit down haha. We went to the adjoining restaurant for cocktail hour and the drinks were gross, we didn’t eat but saw a number of customers complain about the food / wait times so wouldn’t recommend. We went elsewhere for breakfast and glad we did. Spoons round the corner was empty, fast, tasty and cheap.

We were not happy with our stay due to the ‘water torture’ leak in one of the bedrooms. It kept us up all night, which made it very difficult catching a flight from Glasgow Airport the following day, we were exhausted. The owner know about the leak and requests that guests change the sodden smelly towel that is catching the constant drips from the leaky window. The owner did not want me to leave a bad review as it effects their score and potential new bookings. Perhaps they need to be more considerate of families staying in their ‘2’ bedroom apartment. No refund of any kind was offered, as there was one bed to sleep in. The owner said that one bed is sufficient for me, my wife and my son; we paid for a 2 bedroom apartment and expected to be able to use both bedrooms. The owner wants to deceive those that stay there.

It's a work in progress. Owners try to make it nice and invest in remodelling the house. But it's old and damp, and the remodelling can be done much better. New plaster starts cracking everywhere, many things not finished. No dishwasher, last thing you want when you are renting for a few days is doing dishes by hand. Utilities, pots and pans are insufficient for a group of 6 people. Only 4 can sit at the table. Shower in the bath, terrible. All floor is soaking wet because glass wall isn't holding the water back. Backyard looks like a building site, garden and terrace are mentioned in the house features but can't be used really. Owners should first finish all and the start renting out. Need a few more months but place has potential. Area is not so nice and very little to do unless you take a taxi elsewhere.
