The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The hotel was in a great location, as we were watching a show at the Town Hall (7min walk). It's connected to The Mailbox, so we had a lot of choice for restaurants & bars. The bed was extremely comfortable, I rarely sleep well away from home and I had a good night's sleep.

When checking in, the member of staff who served us didn't tell us where to find the lifts, if we wanted to add breakfast to our stay, where the spa was & what time it was open/if we wanted to book treatments. For a hotel of this level, there wasn't any complementary bottles of water in the room or a fridge to keep anything cold/fresh. One of the taps in the room was leaking & had a constant pool of water around it - we were in a rush & didn't have chance to report this to reception. One of the towels was dirty, but luckily my friend ended up travelling home the same evening & didn't stay overnight, so I used the spare from the wardrobe. The chair in the room was ripped on one side & exposing the foam. A lot of hairs in the bathroom. The café/Starbucks coffee shop was shop before 5pm which seemed odd.

We needed somewhere for a family of 4 with a full English breakfast . And found this one. One the site it boasted of having a lift to all floors & a full English breakfast.

When we arrived we was told the lift doesn't work & that our room was on the top (3rd) floor. & was also told that due to some issues , they couldn't provide a cooked breakfast. But there would be toast cereal & an egg boiler. Looking through the wibdow into the dining area i saw an old mattress leaning against one of the breakfast tables. In the morning we was told they was waiting for a delivery of eggs but they wouldnt arrive until the Sunday morning the day we left. For £160 that's not acceptable

Breakfasts, evening meal, friendly staff, comfy bed, Katy and Kellie on reception, free electric vehicle charging, great views

Very weak shower, very slow draining sink, ensuite very small, Craig the barman is a bit too quirky at times, dark-haired receptionist not very friendly

Yet again a really nice stay, lovely staff and tasty breakfast. Good location for sea front, beach walks and shops.

The beautiful old Georgian building and the close proximity to the the town of Bath. Comfortable bed.
Negative section of review
General shabbiness of room, curtains had to be kept shut with a chair as pulley didn't work, table with piece of wood hanging off leg at the back, broken reading light, TV remote control didn't work (guessed it needed new batteries), breakfast cereal receptacles weren't refilled when they ran out, stair rods on the stairs hanging out, no shelf to put your toilet bag on in bathroom, but bathroom otherwise good. The most annoying thing was that the room was advertised as being "5 star" and "luxury in every room". Unfortunately this was not our experience.

Apartment is small but well laid out. Shower is decent. It was cold but we could put heat on.

Access was not provided as planned. Hanging about with luggage awaiting access is exactly what we dread. We booked via Booking and expected details in booking app. Accom managers said that they communicate via their app but admitted the welcome email had not gone through. Also annoying to get knocks on door before checkout rushing us out early. Actually cheeky considered access issues.

The hotel is very close to the train station and shops. Lots of places to get food close by.
Negative section of review
The room was small and very warm. Could not leave the window open over night as it looked on to a busy main so would have been difficult to sleep through the noise
