A great little hotel, excellent location for exploring Keswick and the southern lakes. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, the hotel is located in the very heart of the town, and a short walk from the towns long stay car park. We had a twin room, it was spotlessly clean, the hotel is very old and comes with the charm expected from an old property. We were able to drop our bags before heading out for a days hiking, the beds are comfortable and the hotel is great value for money, will definitely be returning thank you ☺️

Everything was perfect. Lovely chalet style accommodation in keeping with the character of Whitstable. Facilities as stated plus a small garden with garden furniture. Check in/out was very simple with clear instructions given on how to obtain the key. A pearl in a Whitstable oyster..

Wonderful view and very peaceful. Very comfortable bed and lovely private little outside patio area. Lovely place to stay though bear in mind no cooking facilities. There is a standard size fridge though and everything else is beautifully done

Lovely people, Comfy bed. Hot water. Air con. Cooker dishwaser etc. Lovely quirky charm and decor. Liked the usb sockets by bed. The garden was lovely and continued the quirky charm.
Negative section of review
Lack of cooking utensils, lack of tea towel, lack of cleaning stuff, lack of place to eat, bar and stools provided but very uncomfortabe. No sockets except kitchen or bedside. Spent much of the time with computer on our laps on the bed.

The leisure club. The cleanliness. The friendliness of staff. The comfortable room.

Not the hotel's fault but trying to get there due to all the roadworks and road closures was a nightmare and we would not want to come again because of that

We went to the onsite restaurant, waited 30 minutes to be approached by the staff, noone asked for any drink or food order and we walked out. On our final morning my wife became quite ill, I went to see reception at approx 2 am requesting the address of a doctors surgery or if they had a doctor who attended the hotel and i was advised to go to the hospital over the road. I also asked them for a couple of face masks and was told that they had not had any available for quite a while and that i should find a pharmacy
