A friendly welcome on arrival. Hotel located across the road from a beautiful loch with a small pebble beach - good for a stroll, otherwise a walk is a few minutes drive away. Charming decoration in bedrooms, very comfortable bed, lovely hot water & good shower. Dinner in the hotel was delicious. We really enjoyed our short stay.

Unfortunately, my overall experience with this property was very disappointing and I didn’t actually end up staying, I found it difficult to identify any positive aspects to the room or the owners. I hope that the owners will address the issues I encountered to improve the experience for future guests.

My experience with this property was extremely disappointing to say the least, and I felt it was too unsafe to stay, especially since I was staying with my 8 year old daughter. Upon arrival, I discovered several serious issues. There was no fire alarm in the kitchen, my daughter tripped over broken tiles, there were men smoking marijuana right outside the building with the main door left open, which allowed anyone to enter freely compromising security. The hygiene standards were also unacceptable, with a waste pipe running through the main lobby, which is both unsanitary and unpleasant. Furthermore, the individual who provided us with the key took a photo of me and my daughter without my consent while I wasn't looking. This photo was then sent to me, which was very unsettling and the be frank very weird! Given these conditions, I felt it was too unsafe to stay at the property and immediately left. Unfortunately, my request for a full refund was denied by both the owners and booking.com have said they are unable to do anything until the owners agree to offer a full refund. I hope that management will address these issues to ensure the safety and comfort of future guests.

The apartment was beautiful. It was clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. It was perfectly located only a short walk from the town centre and just up the road from the Safari park.

The place is OK for a couple and two kids not a stag party of 5 males only had two single beds a double and sofa bed . I was the best man and was willing to sleep on a air mattress that was sadly broke while inflating it . I asked a few people that managed the property and asked if they had a spare mattress all I got is see what they can do no response.. over 3 nights had about 6 hours sleep altogether me and another both slept on half a sofa bed and a chair to keep both our feet up I have photos to prove it why we both paid over £90 each to stay here I don't know . There was a few damages before I got there I took video before and after I left left it in same condition as arrived . Didn't supply toilet paper ... lock on front door very fiddly to open took forever didn't supply key to open windows as poorly ventilated . Shower was either freezing cold or boiling hot .. I was told by staff that booking com should not have let it to us as it was only for 4 people . I've added a photo of how me and another slept for 3 nights was very uncomfortable

I has room 2 and it was clean but looked quite tarnished. When I returned to the hotel around 10ish, the room was cold and it had turned cold outside. There were no instructions of how to put the heater on and I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep. I rang reception and the night reception manager came to help fix this situation, which he did admirably. However having got the room heater working I still felt cold as it took time to heat up. The manager then found me another heater to heat the room. After all of this it would have been good to have a cupper to warm myself. However, I didn't think of looking in the wardrobe for the tea things! I only knew these were there when I discovered them in the morning. There didn't appear to be any book in the room explaining any of this. All in all I didn't feel that my room was worth what I paid for it - I was very disappointed..

The property was not properly cleaned, and previous clients left over food containers overflowing the bin on a really hot day. Hair and debris were in the shower groove, and the plate drainer was encrusted with limescale and food debris. Outside, the decking is dirty and needs pressure washing. There was no hairdryer as advertised, and after informing the host, we were told to buy one but nothing too expensive and would be reimbursed. This is open to wild interpretation and so we were not willing to take the risk. The mattress is the worst we have experienced, infact it was horrendous, and you can feel every spring. There were literally no amenities, a tiny bit of toilet roll, no dish brush, dish cloth or scourer, and no tea towel. A virtually empty caravan where you bring all your own laundry and cleaning products, including bin liners, not a scrap is provided, which is not abundantly clear when you book by which time it os too late. This property does not offer any element of value for money, infact it is expensive for the standard you receive. The contact is very blunt, bordering on rude. With so many options on the Rockley site, we would recommend avoiding this particular offering entirely.

Room said there was a shower and no bath which is why I booked it as I had accessibility needs. It turned out to be a bath and the receptionist said there were no other rooms suitable (and first tried to make me pay extra!) so I couldn't shower! Room was dirty and generally very tired. Peeling paint. Broken chair. Bugs in bathroom.
