The location was excellent - close to Alton Towers, easy to park and a convenient pub over the road where we had our evening meal. Communication with Abbey was very good, and she gave us a warm welcome when we arrived at the property. The room was very clean and comfortable; and we appreciated being able to chose between twin and double bed set up.

Staff where very friendly when greeted on arrival. The building is old but well maintained. The bed was very comfortable and a fan was provided in the room which made it easier to sleep as it was still warm. Parking on site was easy and safe, I felt comfortable parking my car here, as there was a barrier with a key code to exit the parking area.

there were cobwebs in the bathroom and the shower wasn't very good, it had two dials and when I turned one on the water ran cold and the water pressure wasn't great so was more like turning on a tap. This might be because I didn't know how to use the shower properly however. I used the ironing board but put a towel over the cover as it needed to be washed, so think my room could have done with a deep clean

This is our second visit as we enjoyed our stay so much last time so stayed for two nights instead. The room is beautifully and stylishly decorated and the bed is really comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect to explore the town and other surrounding areas within easy reach.

Comfortable and enjoyable 2 nights stay very clean apartment. Good walks and seafood restaurants nearby. Shame the weather turned or we would have walked further to Alum Chine..

At times some of the meals were dry, like burger and chips. Poached eggs on first day came over cooked. Extractor fans need cleaning, and the back of the radiators. No mattress protector on the bed, also need better pillows. Rooms are a bit tired and rundown. Good trade for trades people, I’m sure they are happy with the facilities more.

Being disabled and my wife also we required the use of the disabled lift from street level to reception. This kept breaking down leaving us to ring reception and request they send the lift down. A member of staff did this several times during our stay then, obviously tired of doing so, placed an OUT OF ORDER sign in the door. This meant climbing 2 flights of stairs to gain access to the first floor. The seaview refurbished room had a continuous dripping shower and the balcony, covered in bird droppings, never got cleaned. I emailed the manager on my return who was dismissive and condescending and stated it was the guests fault the lift didn’t work as they didn’t close the door properly. Customer service award to this one!
