A wonderful location - easy to get to while also tucked away from the hustle and bustle - with a beautiful view out over the lakes. The owner Terry is the sweetest gentleman and the manager Emily is the loveliest host - very kind and caring and a pleasure to talk to. Everyone and everything is very well taken care of, and it is clear that the extra effort really comes from the heart. The home-made breakfast was delicious and I so appreciated Emily going out of her way to buy gluten-free flour to make fresh gluten-free pancakes for me! I would have liked to have stayed longer! I came on my own, but would like to bring my parents here in the future as I think they would love it as much as I did.

Without a reason for any doubts, the location as close to Aldgate East underground station from where was so easy to get to any of the main landmarks in London. Not to mention the only 20min walk it takes to get to Tower Bridge! The restaurant staff, so friendly and welcoming, especially Albin who was always so kind.

The cleanliness could be a bit better for a 4* hotel, and the pillows were quite uncomfortable for such a comfy bed.

Lovely position in the Chew Valley. Perfect for exploring the surrounding towns and villages. 🌳 We loved the fact that our two little dogs were made welcome too. It was so nice to have a weekend away with them.
