Positive section of review
This lodge was very well located for my purposes being close to Haddington. It was easy to find and the information provided by the openers was very accurate. The room itself was well-appointed and had nice little touches with biscuits, soft drinks, coffee and tea all being provided. The kitchenette was small but had all the key items, grill, oven, microwave. The view of the highland cattle outside wandering around was so peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

A pleasant stay as usual. Richard and his staff are always friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, bright and comfortable, and there is an extensive food and snacks menu. Our evening meals were first rate, and for breakfast we had tea and coffee and then Richard made us a very substantial bacon sandwich each to take with us on our homeward journey, as we weren`t ready for the full breakfast. There are many interesting local walks close to the property

Staff were extremely helpful and also helped to keep our luggage on the day of checkout till the time our train departed. Location was excellent and it was so easy to get to the train station. Was a bit apprehensive when we were given a basement room, but it worked out really well because it was so quiet and we didn't hear any street level noises at all.. The room was also really clean and there were extra pillows. Good value for the price

Conveniently located near the tube and bus station. There is little supermarket next door, which has all basics. The street with informal dining options id nearby. The kitchen is well equipped. The room was clean. The hotel has a room to store the luggage.

Our room was facing the wall, I think many rooms on 1st and 2nd floor face that wall. It's probably ok if you stay there for a night to two, but if I would stay there longer I ask different room. There is no dining table, there is a desk and big tv cupboard. I would prefer to have a small dining table, since there is a kitchen in the room, instead of other big pieces of furniture.
