Minnie's cottage is a lovely and spacious converted barn with a spectacular rafter height ceiling in the main area. The location is in the countryside near Eglish and Armagh with Northern Ireland's areas of outstanding beauty just to the North, East and South. Perfect base for sightseeing tours and there are forest walks close bye for something different to do. The cottage has all the features and facilities for any length of stop over.

This hotel is in an ideal location directly across from the Grass Market, Victoria St, and the Castle. The optional breakfast buffet was exceptional and the staff were both helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and elevators worked efficiently. I also appreciated the staff calling a taxi for me which is that extra step you don't always get anymore.

The rooms did not have a refrigerator or microwave and although the location is great, there is no laundry shop within walking distance. This resulted in the rather pricey use of the hotel's laundry service and resulting loss of a T-shirt.

The staff were amazing.. they were helpful and very friendly. The room was comfortable….the shower was a bit hit and miss as far as hot water. Good position for our ferry over to Orkney Islands. The food was exceptional especially the breakfast ….a good variety and lots of it. We had meals at night and they too were very generous , well prepared and tasty.

The pub downstairs is a little aged and not a great atmosphere. Also, the staff were fairly brief at check-in. My room was near the pub garden and was noisy until late.
