Location was good, central and not too noisy. Comfortable bed in room. Breakfast ok but nothing fancy. Mixed attentiveness from staff, some days much better than others.

This hotel is mainly set up for large tour groups. As an independent solo traveller I wasn't made to feel very welcome. When wanting to dine there one night I was told I couldn't as I was not part of the tour, even though the restaurant was empty, so I had to go and eat elsewhere. Certain expectations were not quite reached. Breakfast was adequate but pretty basic. Black out curtains would have been good in the room. The wifi was not on a secure server which I found to be a major problem. The tv in my room also constantly flickered so could not be used. Overall, it was pretty limited in what it offered.

Shower head was mouldy as was the floor covering that went up the wall at the shower area. The hand basin had a pubic hair in it when we arrived. The microwave needed a clean. The room needed a 2nd comfortable chair and a bedside table. The room was monastic for a couple which made it uncomfortable when trying to relax.

This js the fourth time I have stayed at the vincent (I obviously have enjoyed it the previous times) however this time I did not like the room I was given. I stayed in room 211. Initially when I got to the room the door wouldn't lock. I had to go down to reception twice to get this rectified. It also didn't have an extra lock you could put on yourself once in the room, probably because it was an accessible room, as all the other rooms I have stayed in at the vincent have had this, which made me very anxious as a solo female traveller. I also had no phone reception in this room, obviously not the hotel's fault, but I also had no WiFi unless I sat directly against the door. I therefore had to do all my work in the restaurant. I did ask about this and was told there was nothing they could do. Being an accessible room, not needed by myself, but booked last minute and I assume what was available, the entire bathroom floor got wet whenever you were in the shower. The towels were kept not in the bathroom but on the other side of the room and there was no towel rail to dry wet towels on. All in all this was the worst stay at the vincent so far. I felt as though I wasted my money this time.

Breakfast was exactly the same every day. Had to keep asking for more milk etc as wasn't replenished regularly. Toilet roll ran out in both the room and downstairs toilets which is very irritating. They need to be replenished regularly or ideally have spares readily available.

I really wanted a room with a bath tub. I thought I’d booked one but just had a shower. A good shower, but after nearly 4hrs driving, I wanted a soak. This might have been my fault.
