Positive section of review
The location of the property was fantastic, really central and lots of shops within 2 mins walking. It's right outside the Cathedral which was beautiful. The instructions for finding the property and collecting the key was really clear which is good as it could have been really difficult if the instructions weren't so clear. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and accommodating to my request to arrive late. Responses from the host were really prompt and helpful.

The property was really cold and the heating dial on the wall did not work when I tried to turn the heat up. The small bedside table lamp in the bedroom was broken so I had to carry the big lamp from the lounge into the bedroom. The top of the bed is broken and has been taped back together. Perhaps adding a few little things to make it feel a bit warmer and more comfortable would be nice for example a nice blanket for the lounge and some extra table lamps etc.

My second stay in a week (in transit to a Hebrides cruise) and a much better room (higher price as I had chosen breakfast as well). Chosen for being so near Glasgow Central Station. There is always a staff member available which is good for returning late from a concert. Breakfast was a choice of continental style meat/cheese, variety packs of cereal and individually wrapped morning goods. Tea was made for me and brought out. A pleasant stay.

There was even a bath as well as a shower although I assume I had to ask at reception for a plug if I wanted to bathe. The carpet in my room badly needed replacing.

The house appeared to been refurbished recently so the bedroom I’ve stayed was new. The beds were very comfortable. I’ve been coming to this hotel for years and I stay every time I need to travel to london. Is 10min walking from the train station Horley and they have a car park too. They used to have transfer to the airport but not anymore, however u can get a taxi and it costs around 15£. The hotel will provide with the taxi info if u request.

The bedroom was cold and I couldn’t turn on the heating in the bedroom but the one in the bathroom was on. The bedding was also too thin.

Excellent food, was there on a Monday so it was pub quiz and bingo which was good fun, great vibe in the pub. Room spacious and comfortable. Bathroom dated but clean and perfectly functional.

It wasn't clear where to check in... Stood in reception of the hotel for ten minutes before going through to the bar and found I could check in there.
