Lovely hotel in an *amazing* location overlooking the Solway. The Powfoot Hotel is charming and remote and overlooks both stunning tidelands (and Cumbria in the distance) and a lovely golf course. It makes a great base for exploring this under-visited piece of Scotland. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic, and the staff were very helpful. The lounge and balcony on the 1st floor (2nd floor US) was deliciously peaceful and offered stunning views.

The room was overwarm and, while a small fan was found for us, it was unable to cope. There was no furniture for the balcony, so all we could do was walk out and stand on it. We couldn't adjust the automatic lights in the bathroom (regardless of switch position), so the fact that there was a light that would have been perfect for middle-of-the-night bathroom visits was unfortunately of no use. The bed was large, but could have been more comfortable.

We stayed for two nights in the Canna Pod.. when we arrived we were met by our host Carol. She was lovely and so welcoming. Our pod was in a great location, Immaculate and had stunning views across the water. We loved our stay from start to finish. Our wee pup loved her stay too. An amazing place & pet friendly.

The room was very nice, looking fresh and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location is excellent, being right near restaurants, pubs and the Tube station.

I ordered room service breakfast, which was unfortunately nearly 30 minutes late on one morning. The food was great, but I didn't have time to enjoy it all.

After 32 hours on a flight , no opportunity for early checkin , arrived in London at 6.39am , showed up at 10.30am Told to return at 3pm to be given a room like a cupboard for GBP288 I did suffer from claustrophobia and had to take some moments to relax

Clean, shower hot, normal beds decent.

Broken sofa bed; no notice on bedding for that; difficulty without pushing them to drop bags. Very bright as no curtains in centre.

No one on reception but good signage

Parking outside on Main Street was 45 minutes only during the day. However no restrictions on any other street. Best parking on the front 100 meters away.
