I loved the beautiful views across the bay from the front windows. It is the only accommodation on the street with an open and accessible front door, instead of being tucked in beside a shop front, and I felt safe coming and going by myself. The living and sleeping areas are large and comfy. Cooking facilities were great. Parking is not on site but scratch cards are provided to display in the nearby zone and there is 40 min parking usually available right outside the door for drop off and pick up, and overnight if you leave by 9am. The position is fantastic, allowing for a stroll along the sea front and close proximity to food stores and amusements. The town centre is only about 10 mins walk from the accommodation.

Nothing stands out, other than finding the parking on a rainy day and the bathroom is only tiny.

Warm welcome on arrival, room comfortable and very clean. Breakfast very good, lovely room with stunning views, food exceptional. Hosts both came to say Bye when we left and chatted with us about our journey which we all enjoyed. Bed linen high quality, beds comfortable and we enjoyed a peaceful night’s sleep. Easy, private parking at Derrybeg. Very happy we chose Derrybeg and we will look forward to returning.

We had an accessible room however the shower was over the bath. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected tissues in the room and perhaps complimentary water however these were minor details and didn’t spoil our stay

We didn’t see any staff, the bed was so noisy it woke us up every time we moved, tarpaulins on the scaffolding kept us awake as it was blowing in the wind through the night. Very very basic for a deluxe room at £145 a night
