What a fantastic hotel and room - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Legh Arms and will definitely be staying again. Furnished and decorated to a high standard, our room was a deluxe double and it was so comfortable and spacious. The mini fridge was most welcome, as was the fresh milk for a cup of tea. The hotel even provided a little gift pack for our dog, which he enjoyed. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and we had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, which had a good atmosphere. The breakfast was one of the best we've had at a hotel - a tasty, big full English breakfast with great quality food. There are a few nice bars on the doorstep and the hotel has a lovely beer garden, which is a good suntrap too.

Pleasantly surprised as knew we had a room & shared kitchen, but both were great. Kitchen had a washer & drier as well as cooking facilities. All fairly new & very clean. Room comfortable.

Chalet was nice if in a different location, plenty of bits and pieces in the chalet to make it have a beach feel and handy things to use throughout incase you forget anything

Was a little dusty though out, lots of dust on lampshades and on top of most surfaces and we found pubic hair on the toilet and in the shower, dog hairs on the rug and back of sofa so we were covered in dog hairs! The double bed mattress was very uncomfortable and the traffic noise is very loud but does quieten down from 10pm ish until 6am. No freezer compartment in the fridge so can’t keep ice cream or anything frozen.

Loved the fact that it was built in the 1800 a old building that is kept beautiful all these years. And the meals are really nice complements to the chef. Very happy 😁

Sadly there was a constant,humming, which I really really struggled with. Went to the bar,I was informed it was kitchen fans,and would stop after kitchen closed at 9.But that didn’t happen…it was like torture…the room and facilities,food,bed comfort were great,BUT THAT CONSTANT HUMMING WHIRRING SOUND all night,makeshift ear plugs(tissue) ,didn’t work,so our nights sleep was ruined😏. Breakfast was great,as I say the main thing that let us down,was because of the noise.

Breakfast staff not at all helpful or accommodating. A lot of refurbishment needed. Very dangerous lift with no door. No car parking for blue badge holders. Apparently they were removed and planters put in their place
