Small room but very convenient for a single person. Bed was really comfortable, bathroom was great, room was clean and cosy. Really enjoyed the room and the location is perfect! They have a storage room for your luggage in case you arrive early and leave later, I was lucky enough my room was ready at 1:30pm so I could check in earlier.

Room was on the first floor and can be a little noisy at night time but you’re in SoHo so I was aware of that and it wasn’t a problem. None of the windows open in the building from what I was told so be aware of that but there is air conditioning in the room (helps when it gets steamy after a shower). Staff was not super friendly but it was alright.

Location was great, it was 5 min walking from everything in the city. The bed is comfy. The staff is super nice. Facilities are good, they even had iron in the room.

The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is well located. The conservatory with honesty bar is great and it’s nice to be allowed to let dogs roam free in the garden.

Being treated like an idiot or a liar by the staff. We were in Sidmouth to visit a very sick relative and arrived quite late and already quite stressed to be told that we couldn’t have our room because we hadn’t specifically called them to say we had a dog with us (I’d ticked the “travelling with a pet” box on the Booking search field and naively assumed that would notify the hotel). The receptionist told us that it was “very clear” on the listing, and I responded by showing them that it’s not visible on mobile without digging into additional hotel info. I’d suggest the owners should update the room names to specify which are/aren’t dog friendly. Eventually they called the owner who allowed us to move to a more expensive dog friendly room (at our expense). When we checked out, I took our bags to the car and then returned to the room to pick up a coffee I’d just bought and check for anything we may have left behind. I found the coffee cup in the bin as the coffee had been poured away. When the (same) receptionist asked if everything was ok, I replied that actually no it wasn’t because the cleaners had poured away a clearly fresh (as it was boiling hot and full) cup of coffee I’d just bought without checking with us while we were still on the premises! Their response was that it was our fault for checking out late as checkout was 10am. I showed her the booking confirmation showing that checkout is actually 1030 (the guest info book in the room ALSO says 1030) and she just shrugged and smiled. I left because I was otherwise going to lose my cool. I’ve traveled for work for the last 15 years and have had bad service, but never felt so infuriated as I did from the way we were made to feel like everything was our own fault, which is a shame as the last time we stayed at the hotel the owners were on site and were lovely to deal with.

Shower drain blocked; Uncomfortable lavatory seat because not positioned correctly. Hob not functioning properly, would help having instructions. A few small plates and microwave dishes would be useful. Latter supplied on request. No comfortable place to sit, A single bed would make more room for a chair. (Available space more suitable for one person)

Left the hotel totally shattered as had not had a great sleep at all. There was a loud constant vibration/buzzing coming from cupboard next to our room which kept us awake most of the night. We did call down to night staff to report but never heard back. The chap who was on on the morning, was very helpful and accommodating when I had said about the issues on checkout.
