Only the spa treatments were good .. although we couldn’t use the the sauna as it was full of loud men .. I slipped on the wet floor trying to get in the pool .. and the floor had lots of tiny insects around the beds when we went to sit down only to be told the beds were already taken so we just left. Felt like a whole wasted trip and it was a saved up treat for my husbands birthday..

The room was of low standard and smelly .. charged me £15 for my dog but didn’t provide anything in room for her .. the bed was very uncomfortable and wasn’t clean, the room was dusty and the socket behind the bedside table came off when I tried to unplug my phone .. no fridge so bottled water was warm .. had to use bottled water in the kettle as the sink water was all cloudy .. the kettle itself had a mind of its own and I had to keep rocking it to get it to boil and it was full of limescale inside. Dinner was massively expensive, the vegetables were to hard to eat and broccoli was so hot with way to much chilli on that I complained and it was taken off the bill I had the monk fish but a very tiny piece so left there very hungry still and over £100 for a meal for two was very disappointing .. the breakfast was a bit better but not worth the money .. black pudding was rock hard and I couldn’t cut through it pouched eggs were tiny and hard and the mushroom was full of water .. but I was so hungry that I managed to eat half the plate .. no fruit salad left in bowl so left with an apple/orange .. very very upsetting experience.

Located in a quiet residential area just off the Downs. Plenty of parking but also near to regular public transport. The room was exceptionally clean and freshly furnished. The bed and pillows wherever comfortable. Good coffee making machine.

Food options were very limited and not very palatable. The rooms were ok but tired and very poor quality with terrible pillows they were flat and not fit for purpose! Hotel staff were limited and not particularly friendly, happy or helpful. The hotel was not value for money as it’s very old and tired . I think you need more than fresh paint to update this hotel and some staff that actually seem like they like people and want to help them to enjoy of their stay! This hotel is very overpriced.
