Brilliant staff,very helpful with any questions we had, our rooms were ready a little ahead of time which was a great bonus. We also had a nice surprise of a room upgrade which was unexpected but very welcome and made a big difference to our weekend, I understand that this was subject to our specific dates and availability and wouldn't necessarily be a normal occurrence but it goes a long way to leaving a lasting impression of good customer service. The breakfast was well cooked, well presented and of a good variety.

I would suggest for the guests that may have disabilities difficulties that the toilet seat could be made from the sturdy ones that we have experience before. The seat in our room was already loose and when my husband sat down it moved and pinched him bringing blood. Not something anyone needs from a little break away he is a veteran so his mobility isn’t great. It’s a beautiful inn but that’s the difference from staying again. Although the staff were amazing and they did offer us another room… however; he was sore for a few days and that made the stay unpleasant for him. Just something the owners may think about moving forward for other guest not to suffer the same fate.

The bed frame was in need of a little TLC, I reset some of the slats but they were missing the plastic end sleeves that click into the frame

I arrived at 16.05 and my room wasn’t ready. I asked if the hotel had an iron nothing arrived, I then received a message whilst I was out in a restaurant asking when I will be paying my bill?? Should have been paid as I clicked this option when booking. Then I went to bed needing a good nights sleep after travelling for five hours to be rudely awoken by Chinese music this went on for hours and banging about.I was then woke up at 6.30!!!my breakfast was cold, I quickly checked out at 9am as I was so annoyed. Never ever stayed in a hotel like it, it has so much potential, missing key details- need a mirror in rooms so you can do your hair mirror in room was above a sofa, no welcome pack with no information, signs on walls in plastic wallets. I complained to the hotel to be offered £50 off my next stay, I never want to come again. I come to Stirling very regularly but will be using my usual hotel next time…..
