Check-in went smoothly. The ensuite bathroom had a bath-tub, which is what I had requested. There was also a sink and toilet, in the ensuite bathroom. The water-pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water. In general the room was nice, having a wardrobe with mirror-fronted doors, hospitality-tray, bedside-table with lamp and a very comfortable bed with a deep, firm mattress. Bedding was fresh and clean. The window could be opened and closed. The cooked vegetarian breakfast was delicious and plentiful, on both days of my stay. Staff were efficient and respectful. The hotel was clean and in a very convenient city-centre location !

It concerned me that, on the outer part of the bedroom-door, there was a notice stating that it was a fire-door when the only way out of that room was through that door. Beneath the bedroom window, there was a glass roof !

The location is excellent for visiting lots of the Borders towns, villages and tourist attractions The host Abby was excellent, she delivers a first class services from the breakfast been local produce and well presented, housekeeping was prompt and friendly be well through to going that extra mile with friendly chat and local knowledge and information giving us the heads up on the rainy days we had during our visit....well done Abby your efforts, advice and help during our recent visit were very much appreciated by both of us ..thanks again...Paul and Debs

The staff, particularly at breakfast we're great! It was lovely to have light hearted banter with everyone! Accessibility for vegan options was great at breakfast as well, really accomodating! The room was clean and well presented and a good size too.

The room was veerrryy warm, yes there was a fan in the room but stumbling in at 1am from the airport, we didn't particularly want the sound and feel of a fan on whilst trying to sleep, I understand the location can't be helped, but it was kinda far away from the airport, a 50 minute walk from terminal 1 to be precise, and once again, at 1am, busses and taxis are few and far between, we would have spent just as long flagging one down and getting there as is took to have just walked

Spacious, well equipped, nicely decorated in a great location . Very clean. Had a great stay. Lovely to come back after hill walking. Good communication with hosts. Hope to return.

Bathroom in room was far too small! In need of a refurb! Toilet was a macerator - Christ it was annoying, and so we heard next doors and upstairs!
