From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were made to feel valued and welcome. Our host greeted us and showed us to our room personally. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff whilst we were there and the service we received at breakfast the next morning was absolutely on point. Location wise, this hotel is a very short walk from Sandown station, which is on the main Island Line from Ryde so couldn't be easier to get to. It is also in a very quiet road, so there is virtually no noise aside from the occasional passing car. Our room had a view looking out towards the idyllic countryside in that part of the Island, which was an added bonus. In terms of getting to the town and the seafront, this was a very short ten minute walk, so no downside to being further outside of the town at all. All in all, would definitely recommend a stay here - not ultra modern by any stretch, but definitely a character building and the prices are incredibly reasonable.

Being ultra picky, I would have to say the en-suite bathroom in the family room was a little on the small side, especially the shower cubicle. Whilst this wasn't much of a hinderance, it did make for a cramped shower experience in the morning.

Our hotel stay was pleasant! Jeremy, the owner, warmly welcomed us and was helpful. Rosemary was friendly and took good care of us during breakfast. The hotel's location is fantastic, offering a beautiful beach view. I highly recommend it!

The jacuzzi, the cosy furnishings, the garden facilities, kitchen facilities and utensils were all as I needed and the beautiful real house plants.

I didnt have any dislikes.

Tranquil location with lovely views over the Wye Valley, and footpaths from the property. Friendly and helpful hosts

The double bedrooms at the south end of the property would have benefited from having kingsize beds. But the bed was very comfy. It's a shame that the west side of the property grounds were not accessible as this is where the afternoon sun shines.

The location and facilities were perfect.. The staff were friendly.
Negative section of review
The room was slightly smaller than expected and could do with some TLC. Unfortunately we were startled awake at 6.30am by the fire alarm which rang on and off for 10 minutes and we did not receive any information or apology for this, it was difficult to know whether we needed to leave the building or not. In the spa, the jacuzzi was not working on our first day and we had to pay £7 to hire a dressing gown each day of our stay.
Positive section of review
The location, staff and the fact that it was clean.
Negative section of review
Hall toilet which I wasn't expecting, something is wrongly configured in their Booking settings where they show up even if you filter out properties with shared bathrooms, probably checked both having and not having such options. I was definitely expecting my room to be a little larger and especially having it's own toilet and shower.

Dimly lit rooms. Some lights and sockets not working. Felt more like a holding cell than a hotel room
