Location great, I walked to & from town Centre rather than the bus as it was only about 15-20mins. Room very clean & very comfortable bed & pillows. I had a room with a view which was lovely. Breakfast hamper delivered each morning was really good & I loved being able to look at the view whilst having my breakfast. Easy to do self checkin & lots of tourist brochures available.

Nothing I didn’t like. Toiletries were provided but it was the one wash for both hair & body which I’m finding is the norm here (as a traveller from Australia, most overseas places provide separate hair & body washes) it didn’t worry me as I always have my own shampoo & conditioner. What was provided smelled really nice though 😁

Recently refurbished so it felt quite new and was clean and welcoming on arrival. We liked the flexibility of being able to self cater. Great view of the harbour - a shame about the huge but necessary engineering works.

Front door needs easing. Difficult to open and had to be slammed to close. Annoying as the occupant below us came and went. Sound transference from the occupant below the rear twin bedroom (which we used). Muffled conversation was an annoyance at night. An option to have the twin beds joined as a super king would have been useful. Wished we had brought our tv passwords with us so that we could have made use of the streaming services available.

What a great welcome to the islands. Rupert is lovely, knowledgeable and can cook a mean breakfast. Clean, comfy and spacious and only 5 minutes from the ferry. A great start to a great week.

The location was good for us. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the shower was powerful - although the shower curtain stuck to us. A screen would be better.

It was very run down. There was paint coming off the walls and doors. The curtains looked done and were discoloured. The furniture looked very old. The bathroom floor creaked so loudly! It was very annoying at night time.

An en-suite in each bedroom. Easy to use the thermostat. Netflix available. Easy to park outside. Well designed kitchen. Well-equipped.

Would have appreciated a soap tray and a cabinet in the bathroom and somewhere to hang towels and clothes there. Bathroom door doesn't stay closed unless locked. No easy means of contacting hosts when booking through booking.com.

Nothing like what was shown on the site. Room was in a different building, bathroom was tiny and not clean, toilet stained, no cups or tea/milk (had to ask for it) and kettle supplied was old and dirty, no hairdryer (also had to ask for one), cutlery in room was disgustingly dirty. One pillow per bed and although bedding was clean, the beds had camping frames. Headboard on one was old and worn and covered in what looked like old paint. Breakfast was in the building up the street about 50 metres away and only offered toast with baked beans and fried or scrambled eggs as a hot option. Overall just felt like everything was below average.
