Very clean, location is great for the price, the intro brochure was very informative for people who dont know the island. The breakfast baskets were a real treat! Fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants, jam and cereal outside your door at 8am every morning! A real treat! Slept amazingly, no noise from outside or other guests. decorated very nicely, met the owner and he was very friendly and really seemed to care. The staff working there were all happy! Lovely place! My family are all local and they’d said it had been done up and they’d heard good things! Did not disappoint! Would highly recommend!

It is very convenient for York station and the fairly standard design of a hotel and the rooms were fairly basic but very clean and tidy. Very basic tea making facilities with instant coffee. The nicest part of the room was the bathroom which was very well appointed. Perfect for a quick stopover.

The breakfast was a bit basic though sourdough bread was a nice touch. I would have liked a teapot for my tea.

The room was very spacious and comfortable! And easy to locate the staff were lovely - I like the fact how the reception isn’t in the hotel so it gives you some privacy. There is a pool table and some gambling machines.

The property does not serve breakfast as restaurant does not open till 12 which is a shame. The bar area closed at 8:30 which is very early. Theese were the only downsides.
