The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Spotlessly clean, nice, cosy and plenty of space for my family of 6 with kids, and free parking which is a plus in Edinburgh! Plenty of linens and towels with extra ones prepared for us even if it was a last minute booking. It has well equipped kitchen with all essentials utensils to cook our own meals. It has 2 showers and a bath too which allow all adults and kids to get washed quickly. Tesco and Sainsbury’s are short walk away and we got some dinner stuff in the convenience store outside the flat. It is right next to a bus stop and very easy to get to all the touristy sites. Easy and hassle-free check in, excellent communication and wonderful host. We came with an electric car and she suggested us where to charge it and gave us great suggestions of places to visit and travel tips etc. She also left coffee, tea and cookies etc for us, which is a lovely gesture.

We have had only one night at North View, but we enjoyed our stay very much. Christel is a lovely host, communication with her was easy and pleasant. The room we stayed in was clean with a very comfortable bed. The room was equipped with a kettle and tea, fresh water and towels. A big roof window brings a lot of light in the room. The information about the nearest walk and other places of interest were provided in details. Continental breakfast was served at the requested time. We enjoyed the selection of homemade jams and granola served with fresh fruit, croissants and toast. Thank you, Christel.

Everything was great. Just a note that a flight of narrow and steep steps are leading to the room, which might be difficult for some people.

Great place to stay - friendly staff and so convenient for visitors to central Stockton. I’d use again for sure if returning to visit Stockton. Thank you for making me feel welcome and safe!

On your description of the hotel it should be mentioned that it is directly under the landing flight path to Heathrow Airport. There is an aeroplane aprox every 90 seconds from 5 30 AM till 10 PM .The rooms do not have double glazing. They need at least triple glazing. We were in room 7 & the floor boards creaked to the extent that the noise could possibly be heard through the hotel. In all the noise was most unacceptable.

Gorgeous location

Staff was kind on arrival then very rude at dinner when I turned up for my booking with my dog. Understandable that dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant proper - of course - but not in the other areas at all in the main house. A bit of a thing where there is no where else to go on the property but your room.
