Really lovely house, overlooking Offa's Dyke path, nearest neighbours perhaps 1/4 mile away. Lots of owls, sheep below and horses in field above house. Plenty of space for dogs on site. Lovely warm kitchen well equipped with cafetiere, basics for washing up, and first night essentials. Great sitting room with huge open fireplace and lots of wood provided. Huge wood fired pizza oven on main patio with a large outside table, and large wood fired hot tub on bottom patio next to a bedroom. Plenty of wood and kindling supplied, heats up in a couple of hours, and retains heat overnight. A great hit. Massive boiler and the Aga kept the house warm in cold and drizzly weather.WiFi worked well. Lots of different levels in the house, and some very steep stairs and low lintels, so not suitable for very young children/ elderly or those planning on heavy drinking. Very comfortable beds, and good sized bathrooms.

The house was perfect, but very narrow country lanes and lack of phone and internet reception (worse than Cambodia) across Monmouthshire in general can make townies feel a little apprehensive while travelling.

Nothing the hotel was awful I have requested a refund from you and booking.com and have received nothing, no communication and no refund. We stayed for 1/2 the night on the first night and not at all on the second I am appalled that you call yourself a hotel. I want a full refund for this

The rooms for families were great. It meant we could all be together. It was raining but they organised lots of things for the kids to do. The indoor pool was a god send and had a beautiful view over the estuary.

It was quite busy so there were fairly long waits for food at breakfast but what you got was top notch.

Rooms are very tired looking. Carpet stained, double room a bit dark and small, dodgy wooden blind fit for the bin on bathroom window. Shower was dated. On the plus side room was cleaned daily and plenty of towels, bed comfortable. Expensive for the standard of room.

There is too much light from the street and too much noise. Th description of the room said there would be wine or champagne and chocolates or cookies but there was nothing, not even milk to have a cup of tea or coffee. The room was supposed to sleep 4 adults but the two sofa beds they have were more like single beds and were not at all comfortable as beds. Thought we'd found a great place but unfortunately it didn't live up to the reviews.
