Clean room, with a large ensuite Was an old school bath with a detachable shower head, so showering was a different experience but plenty of hot water so no complaints Breakfast was solid There is also a lounge room that you can sit in if you need a break without sitting on your bed Great location, quick three minute walk to restaurants and shops

Lovely big room. Very clean. Location is great right on sea front. Friendly staff. We were part of a large party prior to attending a wedding & everything for our meal in the evening was well organised even down to reserving us an area to sit & chat over coffee . Would definitely use this hotel again.

Parking could be a problem. We required a disabled bay which was a short distance from entrance to hotel. Not too much of an issue for us as several of us to help but could be awkward if on your own. Only one bay available & it is not solely for guests at hotel so lucky it was free on our arrival. Buffet breakfast was a bit frenetic as hotel busy & it wouldn't have been easy for our disabled guest on their own.

Absolutely rubbish , gentlemen who let us in was a creep , sniggering to himself as he knew he trapped us into a scam , I booked a deluxe triple room but he only gave us a double room and told me that it’s okay . Very dirty , very uncomfortable. Sharing one bathroom between 4 rooms (8-10 ) people

A very good place next to Edinburgh Castle. I stayed in a four- bedded room, which was convenient, beds comfortable, quality adequate for the price. For a hostel very good conditions. Bathrooms clean and available in quite a lot for hostel guests.

Quaint with lovely artwork. Nice comfortable furniture. Good to have a courtyard out the back as warm so could have pre-dinner drinks out there.

The stove was scary for a kiwi to use so we didn’t. The stairs were quite tricky to get a suitcase up.

Room overlooked the beer garden. The Friday night when the pub closed all the patrons went to the beer garden and preceded to have what sounded like a brawl at 1am. Saturday night was similar, loud chatter at 1am and the staff did little to move people on or ask them to respect the guests by being quiet. I barely slept the 2 nights we were there. The inn is advertised as a bed and breakfast on the building but no breakfast was offered, we ended up going to an asda cafe nearby.
