Although the hotel was exceptionally busy - due to the Bruce Springsteen gig at the Principality Stadium - the staff were polite and helpful. We were able to store our case for an hour or so before the room was ready for check-in, and enjoyed a drink at the bar. Our room was very comfortable, with a good bathroom. The location was very good - about a 10/15 minute walk from the Stadium and with views from the bar/breakfast room over some greenery. The breakfast was good. The public areas were clean and modern.

The only issue was the price - which was not surprising given the shortage of hotel rooms in Cardiff when there is a big event in the city. I would be very happy to stay at the hotel again, but ideally on a less expensive date!

Our stay at Yelfs was great. The staff were fab, especially Glen-Z and the bar maid who worked Friday night and Sunday breakfast, didn't get her name. One of our party is autistic and every member of staff was brilliant with her. We only had breakfast on Sunday but it was lovely. Our youngest member was very pleased that there was a pool table. Thank you all.

The only thing I would say is that some areas just need updating: shower and general decoration. The room was very warm and we were not able to open the windows.

Peaceful and a lovely sunny area to sit out in. Scrummy collection of quality tea and coffee, not the usual bitter nescafe. Beautiful bedding, light but warm.

Rather small and crowded, could do with more shelves for crockery, etc. All a little squashed for two people. Somewhere to wash crockery would be nice as bathroom sink very small and filling kettle problematic.

The cottage is cosy and very charming, beautiful and all that we needed was well organised. We were impressed and spent the best family time. Magic place! 🥰

There was only one lift and it could only fit 3 people in at a time which was ok but not ideal. The only annoying thing really was that there was only one plug point and it was by the desk and not by the bed.

The apartment was not maintained. It was run down and in places dirty. The photographs posted on Booking.com are not representative of the actual standard of cleanliness and functionality. The cupboard beneath the sink was rotten, the toilet seat was broken, electrical sockets were damaged and dangerous, shelving was not properly secured to the wall, there was mould throughout the bathroom, the extraction fan was caked in dust and general filth and the curtain pole kept falling off the wall. The apartment was a disgrace and not worth the money. I am a loyal and regular user of Booking.com and feel completely let down with this accommodation.
