The location was ideal for our first visit to York, each day we would drive to the park and ride to get the bus into the city which was fantastic. The rooms were of a great size, I found the beds very comfortable, lovely large bathroom. Breakfast had a great choice from cooked to continental options and the in house restaurant at night had a great choice of menu for an evening meal, swimming facilities good for the length of opening ours 6-11pm

Lewis was fabulous from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. It was my sister in law's wedding and everything was very punctual and friendly. The rest of the staff were also great. Five stars all round

It was a lovely atmosphere, there were events every single night and they were very well run and very fun. The common area is lovely: couches, tv, pool table, etc. Nice kitchen, comfy rooms, friendly staff.

Such a bright, welcoming hotel. Plenty of space to sit and relax downstairs and the rooms were so spacious and nice. Every detail was lovely

Only problem was that my room wasn't ready to check in at 3pm as they state, but they gave complimentary vouchers for drinks at the bar while I waited.

The annexe was beautiful and had everything we could want. Hugh was a charming host and the location was really pretty.

As with many hotels, the shower was less than impressive. Separate shower cubicle would be preferred, who takes baths these days!
