Positive section of review
The property is very nicely decorated with calming colours and provides an elegant interior. Feels airy and spacious in the entrance hall with plenty of space between rooms in the villa where we stayed. The breakfast room again allowed for plenty of guests and the food was was of a high standard both in produce and the cooking. Parking spaces are an adequate size but you must book to ensure you get one. Our room was a nice size, well appointed and with a lovely large shower cubicle along with great water pressure. All of the staff were absolutely fantastic- so friendly and easy to talk to which really goes a long way with us.

The location of our room meant it was quite dark with no outlook and small windows. Didn’t like the absence of a bathroom door and the room could have accommodated a larger bed/wardrobe to enhance its comfort and appeal. There was noise transmission from the room above when the occupants were moving about but that’s one of the drawbacks when staying in a period property. The property is located on a hill and although the walk into the city wasn’t a problem for us it could be for those people with mobility issues.

The intimacy in the rooms thanks to the curtains and the beds in general, the provided towels, the fact that there is an outside space, the kitchen in general, the free whashing machines (even if I didn't use it). All in all it's quite ok for the price !

I'll be very specific but I believe they are all very easily doable improvements and just details. The bathrooms where not thoroughly cleaned (the floors and sinks were ok but the other ''surfaces especially the shower system and other random surfaces were quite dirty). The hangers in all the bathrooms are very very tiny you'll be lucky to hang more than a t-shirt on it. The bedrooms really lacks of hangers for jackets/towels (there are none), even more in such a rainy area I dont' know what I would have done with my jacket if it had rained during my stay. And lastly, I believe the pots in the kitchen have really made their time, it could be good for every one's safety to change them before the handle of one of them breaks while someone is handling hot food...

The reception desk tried to make my engineer pay a further £200 upon on arrival but as soon as he said I’ll have to call my boss, magically he said it didn’t matter which screams scam. One room has no lights working
